Season of the Witch

| Dusk on Samhain Eve-Dravena |
In my tradition, Samhain is also a time to honor the MorRhiogan. Many honor Hecate and other "dark" goddesses at this time as well. I like that we witches don't fear death. We know it is not the opposite of life, because, when is there no life?
It is ever-changing, morphing, becoming.. and death is simply a part of that. I like that we honor death as a passage, just as we honor birth, man/womanhood, marriage, etc. We witches embrace all that our experience offers us, and at this time of year, we welcome this turning of the wheel.
This is our time. Celebrate with abandon, my loves.

Today's Crafty Idea!
Spirit Jugs
from Spoonful
These homemade lanterns will extend a ghostly greeting and
good-bye to all your Halloween visitors.
Stationed on a walkway or porch, these homemade lanterns
will extend a ghostly greeting and good-bye to all your holiday visitors.
What you'll need
Clean plastic gallon milk jugs
Black permanent marker
Craft knife
String of 50 clear low-wattage holiday lights (battery
operated works well)
How to make it
Draw ghost eyes and mouths on the jugs. Tip: Leave the caps
on while you do this, so the jugs don't dent.
Use the craft knife to cut a half-dollar-size hole in the
back of each jug (a parent's job).
Arrange the ghosts near each other and string the lights
between them, stuffing several bulbs into each of the jugs.
